Seacore Wins York Region
Sustainability Award for 2019

We are very honoured and appreciative to be the 2019 recipient of York Region's Business Champion Award for Sustainability. Thank you to ClimateWise for the nomination and thank you to and Federal Minister Mary Ng for presenting the award. Thank you also to all the businesses we have worked with in building our sustainable programs over the years. Since 2009, Seacore has actively put an emphasis on reducing our carbon footprint and to become part of the Green Economy. We felt this was extremely important to us and we initiated many programs because it was the right thing to do as opposed to just looking at the profitability of it.

Our Environmental Program over the years has expanded quite a bit. From modifying our warehouse to lower our energy consumption to co-founding the world's first sustainable seafood alliance in Sea Pact, Seacore has been dedicated in becoming a leader in our seafood industry with respect to sustainability.
